Car crime in Swansea

OK, so I went back to Swansea to visit family. This is what I ended up sorting out over the weekend - it's fairly self explanatory!!!

Notice the yellow sweet bag on the floor - they even took the jelly babies and mints from the drivers door!!!

AutoGlass couldn't replace the window on Saturday and I had to take it to them on Sunday. This is what happened on the way to AutoGlass.....

Dad to the rescue!!

So thanks to those guys that gave me an expensive weekend - you did leave some nice fingerprints though so I hope this weekend comes back to haunt you!!

Better late then never!!

OK, So i've not added anything to my page since I went to North Wales back in November!! I did survive and I did come back!! Was a great holiday, got to the summit of Snowdon but it was cold and wet, actually it was Bloody Freeeezing!! After we packed up our picnic and descended a little though it was a spectacular clear view! For those who've been we went up the Miner's track and came down to Llanberis via the railway track.

We returned to our massive rented house and enjoyed a lovely sauna! What a birthday!!

I will add some pics when I found the disc.....!

Big Mud Puddles and Sunny Yellow Dandelions!!!

Big Mud Puddles and Sunny Yellow Dandelions
Author Unknown

When I look at a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard.
My kids see flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.

When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away.
My kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back.

When I hear music I love, I know I can't carry a tune and don't have much rhythm so I sit self-consciously and listen.
My kids feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words. If they don't know them, they make up their own.

When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk.
My kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.

When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that.
My kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends. Please keep the bad dreams away tonight. Sorry, I don't want to go to Heaven yet. I would miss my Mommy and Daddy."

When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets.

My kids sit in it. They see dams to build, rivers to cross, and worms to play with.

I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from? No wonder God loves the little children!
Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I wish you Big Mud Puddles and Sunny Yellow Dandelions!!!

Next Weekend!!

OK, I'll miss out this weekend as it's not particularly exciting. I worked yesterday then went to see Annie the Musical which was OK. Today I have had a VERY lazy day. One of those days you spend all day in PJs!

BUT next weekend I am so excited about! Like a kid in a sweet shop!

I am going to North Wales for a week! I love the mountains and am looking forward to going up Snowdon with my mates, some of whom have never been so they excited too! It might rain (probably) and be cold (probably) but when you're wrapped up nice and warm it's very refreshing being out in the fresh air. Then to come back to a warm house, or pub!, with real fire and bottle of red wine......

Sorry, I'm getting carried away!

We're there for Halloween

then it's my birthday!

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me...!

So hopefully I'll have lots of pics and things to write about when I get back!

BTW, Henson  is coming with me so that will be fun!! He He!

bye for now
xx

Weekend 3!

OK, so still trying to catch up with me blogs - last weekend I went on a walk around Riverford organic farm. Didn't see as many crops as last time I went though. Still managed to pick lettuce, celery, fennel, cherry tomatoes, chillies, raspberries, blackberries. um, think that's it!!

Here's a pic of me with my goodies!

Then we went for a meal in their 'Garden Kitchen'! Was very nice! Pretty informal as everyone sat together then food was dished out in serving bowls to pass around. The food was a bit posh but was very yummy and plenty of it! Felt very wholesome as all food was organic even though we'd eaten loads of it!!

Then went to their farm shop and I bought some sausages with sundried tomatoes and also steak! That's a big thing for me as I used to be a veggie for quite a while. Anyway, managed to cook the steak to perfection probably by some fluke but my guinea pig, I mean friend was suitably impressed!

Weekend 2 !!

Ok, so following schoolmates visit previous weekend, Seth came down and we did some more walking and seeing places. Got a water taxi across to Cornwall and did a 9 mile walk to Kingsand and back. Unfortunately it rained most of the way there but it did clear up by the time we reached Kingsand and we were looking forward to a pasty and cup of tea! (I must be getting old!)

Found a cosy little cafe where lots of tables were laid out and a group of old dears were gathering! They all got together and sat down for their tea and sarnies then they sang Happy Birthday to Tiny! Tiny's 86!   So we all joined in celebrating Tiny's birthday.

One of the ladies kept turning around to us and Seth said eventually "It was my birthday yesterday". So then they all sang Happy Birthday to Seth! He was very embarrassed having all these old ladies sing to him! He's 36!

We had some of Tiny's birthday cake and were also offered some wine but declined - we were on an afternoon walk and I thought I'd need a wee if I drank alcohol!

While we were at the cafe someone came in and said that a car was in it's roof in Fore Street so we all went out to have a look! (Kingsand is a very small village so having a birthday party for an 86 year old AND a car on it's roof in the same day is probably all the excitement gone for the year! Having said that, flipping a car on it's roof in such a narrow street is no mean feat! BTW, no-one was injured in either fiasco!!)

So, after practically everyone in the village grabbing a shot at this unfortunate event all the spectators dispersed and we carried on our walk to get the last water taxi back to Plymouth!

The evening was topped off with more hilarity from Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit!! Ha Ha Ha! Go see it!!

Weekend 1 !

Hey! Not written anything for a while - work been really busy and the weekends have been filled with entertaining visitors!

Firstly Bethan and Melissa came down. Went to see a few places including Fowey (pron Foy like Joy!) - a lovely little town in Cornwall with lots of little cobbled streets on a steep hillside on the River Fowey. For the literary, it's also famous for being home to Daphne du Maurier.

This photo was actually taken from Polruan on the other side of the river looking across to Fowey!

We also went for a walk around the Barbican area of Plymouth and saw a lovely rainbow! Aah!
